Apartment Garden

Apartment Garden sits on the ground floor at the back of the house, where the stone walls are almost a metre thick. Even in the first week of August it stays noticeably cooler than the upper floors, and most guests end up leaving the air conditioning off.

The garden is walled and completely private, with a table under the fig tree our grandfather planted and a patch of lawn that is just big enough for a paddling pool. It catches morning sun and holds shade for the rest of the day.

There are no steps between the courtyard parking and the apartment, which makes it the easiest option if you are travelling with a pushchair, a lot of luggage or anyone who would rather avoid stairs.
